Cheryl Cheryl is Rescued Heart's office manager.  She has one daughter, Ashlynn, and her four-legged children: Dexter, Bruce, Stevie, and Faith.

Veterinary Technicians and Assistants

Alyssa Alyssa is one of Rescued Heart's veterinary technicians.  She has been with the clinic since opening in 2010. She also serves as the adoption coordinator. She and Jesse married in 2010 and had their daughter, Savannah, in 2012. Alyssa is also mother to her four cats: Tru, Panda, Bruce, and Heisenberg.  She also has a Boxer mix named Sylar. She continues to work on her vet tech certification through Cedar Valley College.

Hanna Hanna joined the team in 2013 as a kennel attendant before switching over to the technician role.  She is currently working on her Associate Degree in Veterinary Technology through Cedar Valley College.  Hanna is the proud owner of an Australian Shepherd named Piper, a Mastiff mix named Hoosier, and a quarter horse named Doc.

Nicole Nicole joined the Rescued Heart Team in 2011 and has been in the veterinary field since 2002.  She graduated from the Veterinary Technology program and earned her certification through Cedar Valley College in 2008. Nicole resides in North Pekin with her three cats: Endo, Ripple, and Mocha, along with her labrador retriever/basset hound mix, Yogi.

Bobbie Bobbie started working at Rescued Heart in 2016. She has been a receptionist for many years and loves working with animals. She has two cats of her own named Ellie and Ernie. Bobbie has two children and three grandsons. She enjoys reading, baking, and the outdoors, and she loves spending time with her family and friends.

Jacy Jacy has been a receptionist at Rescued Heart since July 2015. Her family includes her fiance, Ryan, and their son, Paxton as well as two dogs, Charlie and Kya, and four cats: Kabuki, Ramone, Mogli, and Butters. Jacy enjoys music and spending time with her friends and family.

Julie Julie has been a receptionist at Rescued Heart since July of 2013.  She and her husband Larry have been together since July 1990.  They have two sons together: Dakota and Jacob.  Julie's jungle includes her three dogs - Sam, Harley, and Max; her four crazy cats; one bird; one lizard; three turtles; and a few fish!

Penny Penny has worked at Rescued Heart since April 2015.  She serves as a reception assistant.  She and her husband Roger have been married since 1980.  Together they have three (adult) children and three grandchildren.  She also has three dogs: Windsor (Cocker Spaniel), Layla (King Charles Cavalier Spaniel), and Silas (King Charles Cavalier Spaniel).

Kristy Kristy started grooming animals in 1997 when she was just out of high school. In her early days, she worked at various Petsmart stores starting their grooming shops. Before joining the Rescued Heart team when we opened in 2010, she worked at Tender Care Animal Hospital. Her main concerns are animal safety and comfort during their stay, and she has taken classes on animal behavior, stress, and socialization. She has two children, a doberman, two chihuahuas, and two cats, as well as many foster animals.

Hannah Hannah joined our team in 2015 as a kennel attendant.She enjoys fostering wild baby rabbits and releasing them back into the wild with the help of her own rabbits named Dobby, Mr. Puff, Fauna, and Thumper. She also has two cats named Tinker and Periwinkle as well as a dachshund named Dutch.

Kari Kari joined the Rescued Heart team in October 2013. She has worked with animals and animal rescue for seven years. Kari is a kennel attendant, taking care of all the boarding animals and rescues that we have here at the clinic. She studied art at ICC after graduating in 2002. Her family includes her significant other, Katie, her daughter, Emma, three cats named Dylan, Rachel, and Shy Shy, and a dog named Sage.

She has a dog named Bandit, and two cats named Ike and Tina Turner.
