Preventative Care

Veterinary medicine is founded on the principle of prevention of disease. In an effort to promote this, we recommend annual wellness examinations and vaccinations.

Beginning when they are 8 weeks old, we recommend puppies and kittens are regularly seen by our veterinarians for wellness examinations, vaccinations, and deworming as needed. We recommend puppies and kittens are vaccinated at 8, 12, and 16 weeks of age. Following this, yearly examinations and vaccines as needed are recommended. After their first 1-year vaccination for rabies, we offer 3-year rabies vaccinations for both dogs and cats.

It is important for your pets to be on preventative medications to protect them from parasites. We recommend year-round heartworm prevention as well as flea-and-tick control for dogs and year-round flea control for cats. We offer a wide variety of products including Heartgard, Revolution, Nexgard, Frontline Gold, and Simparica Trio!

Dentistry

Dental care is a crucial part to your pet's overall health. To maintain this, dental cleanings and other procedures are performed at our doctors' recommendations.

Dental disease predisposes animals not only to bad breath, painful mouths, and difficulty eating but also to heart, kidney, and liver disease.

Our staff provide dental cleanings under general anesthesia. These are very similar to the cleanings that we humans get, and all animals receive a full oral examination, scaling and removal of all tartar, polishing, and extractions as determined by our doctors.

We guarantee your pet will go home from a dental procedure with a brighter "smile" and a more comfortable mouth. Call to schedule today!
